Welcome to pray-for-your-greeters

Praying for one another is the highest expression of Christian love in the household of faith.

When we pray for each other, we bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).

So, when we are at church and are greeted by a new face, let us not forget them, but let us  carry them home in our hearts and pray for them throughout the week.  We can show them our love through Christ quietly, but fervently, lightening their burdens and drawing them closer to Christ.

Here are some suggested prayer points to pray for them and their family:

        • basic material needs (nutritious food, clean air and water, clothing, shelter, transportation, education)

        • healthy minds and bodies with healing from sickness and disease

        • healthy, loving relationships within their family and with friends, neighbors and co-workers

        • that Christ would dwell in their hearts by faith, being rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17)

        • that they would know the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:19)

        • that knowing Christ would give them a life in abundance (John 10:10)

        • strength, courage, protection and endurance for those who are supporting the family
